소개

본인은 중앙대학교에서 약학사 학위를 취득한 후, 서울대학교 박만기 교수님 및 박정일 교수님의 지도하에 천연물 성분 분석 및 약품 분석법 개발에 관한 연구를 수행하여 약학석사 학위를 취득하였고, State University of New York at Buffalo 화학과에서 Prof. Troy D. Wood의 지도하에 고감도 nanoelectrospray 방법 및 다양한 mass spectrometry 관련 분석법 개발에 관한 연구를 수행하여 Ph.D.를 취득하였습니다. 이후에는 University of Delaware 화학공학과 Prof. Kelvin H. Lee 연구실에서 postdoctoral researcher로서 다중 biomarker를 이용한 Alzheimer's disease 진단 방법 개발을 비롯한 다양한 분야로의 mass spectrometry의 응용에 관한 연구를 수행하였습니다.
현재는 단국대학교 약학과에 조교수로 임용되어, 과거의 경험을 바탕으로, 1) 다중 biomarker를 이용한 질병 진단 방법의 개발, 2) mass spectrometry 기반의 고감도 분석 방법의 개발, 3) mass spectrometry의 다양한 응용 (예, proteomics, metabolomics, 약물동력학, 천연물약품학, 생물공학)에 관한 연구를 수행 및 계획하고 있습니다.

교육철학

본인의 교육 전략은 "MACH"라고 칭할 수 있겠고, 이는 다음과 같습니다.

1. 학생들에게 지식의 쓰임새를 전달하여 학생들에게 배움에 대한 강한 동기 부여 ("m"otivation)를 합니다.
2. 학생들이 지식을 응용 ("a"pplications)할 수 있도록 돕습니다.
3. 지식의 개념 ("c"oncept) 전달에 중점을 둡니다.
4. 학생들의 지식에 대한 이해도 증진을 위해 문제 풀이 시간 등의 추가적인 도움 ("h"elp)을 제공합니다.
