교수소개

* 서울대학교 재료공학부를 졸업하고 (97’), 서울대학교 대학원 석사(99’), 박사학위(02’)를 받고, 미국표준과학연구소 초빙연구원(00’), 영국런던대학 UCL 치의학연구소 리서치펠로우 (03-04’), 서울대학교 신소재공동연구소 선임연구원 (04-05’)를 거쳐, 단국대 치과대학에 부임 (05’).

* 현재 단국대 교책중점기관인 조직공학연구원 원장을 맡고 있으며, 2009년 이공계 대학중점연구소사업 연구소장, 2012년 BK21플러스 사업단장, 2015년 글로벌연구실사업 책임자, 2018년 해외우수연구기관인 UCL이스트만-코리아 덴탈메디슨 혁신센터장을 맡고 있음.

* 연구분야는 손상된 치아, 뼈, 근육, 신경, 혈관 등의 생체조직을 재생하기 위한 소재개발, 3차원 배양법 연구, 줄기세포(성체 및 배아)의 증식과 근골격계 및 신경 분화 제어에 관한 학제간 융합 연구를 수행하고 있음.

* 미국, 영국, 호주, 스페인, 중국, 일본 등 해외 다양한 연구기관들과 협력연구를 하고 있으며, 미국 컬럼비아대학 초빙교수, 영국유니버시티칼리지런던(UCL) 초빙교수, 중국 Sun-Yat-sen 대학 초빙교수 등 활동.

* 학술활동은 대한치과기재학회이사, 한국생체재료학회이사, 조직공학재생의학회이사, 세라믹학회 정회원으로 활동하고 있음.

* 2010년부터 국제저널인 Journal of Tissue Engineering (IF=5.3) 초대 편집장을 역임하고 있으며, Biomaterials (IF=10.27) 등 다수의 국제저널 편집위원으로 활동하고 있음.

* 연구결과로서 생체재료 및 조직공학 분야에 다양한 연구논문을 발표하고 있으며, 현재까지 450여편의 SCI급 논문 발표와 150여건의 국내외 특허출원 및 80여 차례의 초청강연을 하였음.

* 총 논문의 피인용회수는 약 23,000회이며, h-index 는 77.

* 2006년 대한치의학회 학술상인 연송치의학 대상, 2009년, 2013, 2018년 단국대학교 범은학술상, 그리고 2010년 교과부장관상인 ‘지식창조대상 (고피인용 논문)’을 수상함.
