TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT
We’re seeking a new team member to be our technology assistant.
The Transitional Justice Working Group (TJWG.org) is a growing, human
rights-focused NGO in Seoul, South Korea. Our organization works with a
number of international and domestic partners, and we are a blend of
Korean and international staff members. We value collaboration, and we
strive to learn, adapt, and pass on best practices to others in the
areas we work. Join us and use your skills to support important human
rights programs focused on the Korean peninsula and also globally.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who loves to learn and take
on new things. Working under the guidance of the director of technology,
he or she will pro-actively research and test possible solutions,
determine pros and cons, and be involved in implementing and maintaining
the chosen solution. The candidate needs to be able to think creatively,
while paying careful attention to detail.
Initially the role will be part-time, but we are actively seeking
opportunities to make the position full-time. Unfortunately, the
organization is unable to sponsor a visa at this time.
Main duties:
- Supporting the technology and security of a new human rights
documentation project
- Researching, testing and developing, and maintaining IT and digital
security solutions for the organization
- Some system administration
The ideal candidate would be able to communicate in spoken and written
English and have an interest in human rights issues, but we encourage
anyone interested to contact us for more information as soon as
possible.
Please briefly introduce yourself in an email to
techjob@tjwg.org and we’ll be in touch.
PROPOSED START DATE: As soon as possible
