교수소개

강정원 교수는 1990년 고려대학교 전자공학과를 졸업하였으며 이후 미국 아리조나 대학 전기공학과에서 석사와 박사학위를 1994년과 1997년에 순차적으로 받았다. 박사학위 논문제목은 rf 플라즈마에서 생성된 오염입자의 거동과 플라즈마의 특성에 관한 연구 였다. 이후 1997년 엘지반도체 (현 하이닉스) 에 선임연구원으로 입사하여 플라즈마식각에 관한 업무를 수행하였고 이후 1998년부터 2004년까지 엘지전자 디스플레이연구소에서 차세대디스플레이 개발에 관련된 업무를 수행하였다. 이후 2004년 3월부터 단국대학교 전자전기공학부의 교수로 재직중이며 주요한 연구분야는 차세대 반도체 소자 및 재료, 차세대 디스플레이 기술, 플라즈마 응용 등 이다.
