학과소개

At the University of Illinois, I served as a practice supervisor for a teacher training program with severe and multiple disabilities, and worked as an information specialist at the Transition Research Institute (TRI). I developed the national level social studies curriculum and textbook (2007, 2010, 2015 ) and the lifelong education curriculum for people with developmental disabilities. I believe that it is a universal and legitimate right for people with disabilities to have special educational support needs. Research topics include all areas necessary for people with severe and multiple disabilities, focusing on intellectual and physical disabilities, such as curriculum, inclusive education, transition, technology, policy, sexuality education, and lifelong education. I served as President of the Korean Society for Education on Disability with Physical Disability, and Director of Human Rights Center at Dankook University. and currently, am serving as an editorial member of Focus on Autism and Other Development Disabilities and Dean of Graduate School of Special Education.
