Call for Papers: The Oriental Studies, the 60th Issue
The Academy of Asian Studies, Dankook University publishes the Oriental Studies, a journal listed in the Korea Citation Index (KCI), on January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31 of every year. Thus, in accordance with the following guidelines, the Academy calls for papers that can be published in the 60th issue of the Oriental Studies on July 31, 2015.
- The Following Guidelines-
1. The Fields of Call: Academic fields related to East Asia, such as literature, history, philosophy, archaeology, or anthropology of each East Asian country or of comparative manners
2. Authors: All authors must be registered in the Korean Researcher Information (KRI) system. Nonetheless, international or foreign authors are not mandatorily required to be registered in the KRI system.
3. Materials to Be Submitted
⑴ a ‘.doc’ or ‘.hwp’ file of paper
☞ All submitted papers should be written with either MS Word 2007 or 한글 2007, or more recent version of them.
☞ All submitted papers must possess the format of ‘title of paper (both in original language and in English) – abstract (both in original language and in English) – key words (both in original language and in English) – manuscript – bibliography’ in accordance with “the Regulation for Submission and Publication[投稿刊行規程]” and “the Guideline for Manuscript Style[原稿作成要領]”.
⑵ a Form of Application for Paper Submission
☞ Every author submitting a paper to the Oriental Studies must fill a Form of Application for Paper Submission provided by the Academy and submit it with the file of paper.
⑶ a Form of Research Ethics Vow
☞ Every author submitting a paper to the Oriental Studies must fill a Form of Research Ethics Vow provided by the Academy and submit it with the file of paper.
※ “The Regulation for Submission and Publication[投稿刊行規程]”, “the Guideline for Manuscript Style[原稿作成要領]” and “the Regulation for Research Ethics[硏究倫理規程]” can be downloaded from the homepage of the Academy of Asian Studies (user.dankook.ac.kr/~oriental).
4. Manuscript: A submitted paper will contain around 6000 English words (around 20 pages of A4 size paper) including footnotes, abstract, key words, and bibliography. A submitted paper exceeding 7000 words shall be disadvantaged in the reviewing process.
5. Submission Due: May 29, 2015 (Friday) 14:00 of Korea Standard Time
☞ Papers written in a language other than Korean which have been presented in any academic event hosted by the Academy must be submitted by May 15, 2015 (Friday) 15:00 as it requires some time to be translated by the Academy.
6. Method of Submission: Only via E-mail

7. Review Process: Each submitted paper shall be reviewed and its suitability will be evaluated through the regulated reviewing process. The result of review shall be reported to each author.
8. Fees: There is no fee for review or for publication.
