학교법인 단국대학은 1947년 11월 1일 설립!
대학은 동년 11월 3일 서울특별시 종로구 낙원동에서 역사적인 개교를 하였다.
창학의 정신은 구국의 정신이요, 자주의 정신이며, 자립의 정신이다.

Dankook University held its historic opening on November 3, 1947, in Nakwon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The founding spirit of the university is grounded in the ideals of National Salvation, Independence, and Self-Reliance.
