교기 & 상징동물

교기

'47년 개교와 동시에 제정된 교기는 국기인 태극기의 사상과 일치한다.
민족 전래의 오행사상과 동서남북, 즉 세계의 중심이 될 조국을 건설하는 데 앞장서야 한다는 의지가 담겨있다.

상징동물 - 검은 곰

검은 곰은 단군신화를 바탕으로 인내와 용기를 상징한다. 검은 곰은 굳건한 의지, 전진의 기상을 바탕으로 홍익인간 정신을 계승하고 진리와 봉사를 위해 헌신하는 단국인의 의지가 담겨있다.

심벌마크

세계의 중심으로서 세계인과 함께 호흡하고 발전해 나가는 단국인의 미래상을 단국대학교의 영문 이니셜 DKU를 중심으로 역동적으로 회전하는 빛으로 상징화하였다. 또한 회전하는 궤도안의 DKU는 단국인의 하나된 마음과 면학에 대한 굳은 의지를 담고 있다.
